Utah and the latest

Through all Channing's sicknesses and fussiness his constant friend and comfort has been his sea turtle. The shell lights up and projects stars on the ceiling. We are so grateful that he was given this as it has often been his only comfort.

Channing discovered a new love with his Dad--the television. Once he discovers it is is hard to pull him away from it.

On October 5th Channing and I made our first big trip--Utah! We got there just in time to see the brilliant changing leafs and snow tipped mountains.

We had so much fun visiting family. My Mom and I made blankets with Hawaiian fabric Josh and I had picked out before leaving Hawaii. We baked, cooked, got in the hot tub nearly every day and often multiple times a day, played games, and watched movies.

Josh and I made caramel apples with the older nieces and nephews: Aubrey, Joshua, and Isaac.

The Goddard grandchildren; Abigayle, Isaac, Isabella, Aubrey, Channing, Owen, and Joshua!

We also carved pumpkins. It was so much fun to watch the older kids draw on the pumpkins and plan out what they wanted. Isaac and Joshua made vampire faces and Aubrey made a witch--which she will be for Halloween.

The little guy chillin' with his first pumpkin!

We went on a couple of gorgeous sunny walks.

We could not pass up a picture of Channing in the leafs.

After 4 years in Hawaii I had not missed fall and winter. But I am not going to lie, it was a beautiful sight. It would be nice to hop back on a plane to paradise, but we were happy to hear it was 88 degrees when we landed in California yesterday.

Family Photos

We had our first family photo shoot. Channing hadn't napped and wasn't sure he wanted to smile. He is 11 weeks old in the photos bellow.

We tried everything in the book to get him to smile and he did only once the whole time we were there and we got it in this one.

In the pictures bellow he is 10 weeks.

Channing's Halloween costume. We think he looks like a monkey, so the suit seemed appropriate.
