So I asked Josh the other day, "Joshy, will you still love me when my tan is completely faded and I am white?"
He kindly suggested, "You can go sit in the sun."
I laughed and playfully smacked him.

We have arrived!
We went to Utah for a little over a week where my Mom had a beautiful baby shower for me. She decorated in ocean colors, starfish, and seashells. It was so fun to see family and feel all their love and support. We came back to California where Josh's Mom's closest friends also gave me a beautiful baby shower. I was so impressed by how many people came that did not know me. We received so many beautiful gifts and anxiously await the coming of our little one to show him all that we have been given.
We are so blessed.
(I still have to upload pictures from the showers)

Josh got an internship through Cal State Fullerton and started this past Monday. 150 people applied and only 15 got an internship. We feel so blessed to see the working of the Lord throughout our lives. We are so excited about this opportunity. It will look really good on his resume and provide a great working experience.

Our little guy is almost 6 pounds and still packing on the pounds at a rate of about an ounce a day. He is said to be comparable to a crenshaw melon in size, his length: more than 18 1/2 inches, head to heel. However, after visiting our close friend and OB in Utah we know he is measuring bigger! We would not be disappointed at all if he comes any day now--although it would be nice to attend some birthing classes first. We were able to get an ultrasound done while we in Utah and saw his little hands covering his face and him sucking his thumb. He looked very squished and uncomfortable!
When we moved his sleep schedule was really thrown off. I could tell he was not sure when he wanted to be awake or asleep. For the first little while he was up around 5 am, as that was 8 am in Hawaii, and then up again around 7 pm, which was 10 pm in Hawaii. Then he would randomly wake throughout the day. But somehow he has figured it out and gone right back to his routine--up from 7 am-ish to 9 am-ish and back up around 10 pm-midnight.
I am beginning to understand why so many women hate being pregnant. I am not sleeping anymore. I am so achey and have had serious problems with swelling in my legs. The doctor said I am almost swollen to my knees! BAH!But nearly every night our little guy gets the hiccups and when I feel him squirming around I know I would do it all over again. We are so in love with him and can't wait to get to know him.

Moving back to California comes with a lot of adjustments. Josh and I have experienced quite a bit of culture shock after a near 4 years in Hawaii. The sky is not as blue, there are not big puffy clouds that dot the sky, the tap water tastes strange, the drivers are rude (so much for driving with Aloha), there is a constant haze in the sky, the beach is not as close, no one opens church meetings with a warm "Aloha", and we live amidst a sea of homes and consumerism.
However, we cannot nor do we desire to deny the incredible outreach and love of those around us. Especially the outpouring of love and blessings from Heavenly Father. We were able to get on the state insurance, we have a doctor, the ward has warmly welcomed us (they extended Josh the calling to Young Men's second counselor within 17 hours of landing), Josh got the internship, the Wilbur's have opened up their home and arms to us in every way possible to make us feel at home, we have painted and started decorating our little boy's baby room, and thephlebotomists here can find my vain in one shot--miracle!
We are still looking for a car and trying to get into a birthing class--keep your fingers crossed!
God is everywhere: He is in Hawaii and He is here in California.
He is in the angels He sends around us that bless us everyday--our friends and acquaintances.
We are so blessed to see His hand all around us.
To all our friends in Hawaii--Aloha and Mahalo nui loa!
We sincerely love and miss you.
