Josh had to part from the Jeep, he was pretty sad...
This one is for Heidi: 'Ahhhhhhhhh! The Nene'!

This is the Nene! It was near extinct 10 years ago and now there are 300 birds. Heidi and Nolan have some pretty funny stories about these birds.

It was so awesome!

It was got foggy as we drove up and then all the sudden we were above the clouds.
We decided to go Haleakala! It was awesome! It is a massive shield volcano that forms more than 75% of Maui. The drive up was so beautiful and green. The higher we got the more the landscape changed. I highly recommend it!
Thanks to Heidi and Nolan they told us about this awesome 'kitchen sink burrito'. It was awesome!
As soon as we sat down these crazy birds surrounded us. They knew we had food in the bag. They would get within inches of us.
We were so honered to be at Jacob and Sarah's wedding! It was such a beautiful day. It started off with a rainbow and watching whales breaching from their balcony. Right off to the right was a turtle playing in the water during the ceremony.
The northern route of Maui is mostly one lane and cut out of the side of the mountain. It is breathe taking!
The Valley is surrounded by a beautiful stream/river that was dammed up by bodies during the Kamehameha I battle.
After getting in we went straight to the Iao Needle. It was so beautiful! The Iao Valley is the site of one of the most famous battles that occurred in 1790. King Kamehameha I destroyed the Maui army in an effort to unite the Hawaiian Islands.
