Birthday Fun and Foodfest--Soaking it all up before we move

For my birthday Josh and I went to Hukilau Cafe. It was so much fun! We had their macadamia nut pancakes, french toast, orange juice, eggs, and bacon! I had not been there since before we were engaged! Then we went to Wiamea beach and played in the water. Jason and Michelle met up with us and brought me Fig Neutons, which I had been craving, and a floaty cause I had been wanting one for the ocean. :) Then the four of us went to Ted's Bakery! Man are we going to miss having Ted's--they have the best Terri Beef plates.

Later that night we had a bunch of friends come over and hang out. They brought cake and cookies, and we had got a Ted's chocolate macadamia nut pie--it was so nice! We are so blessed and so grateful to have such wonderful friends.
They have been our family here and we will miss them all so dearly.

Saturday we went to Chuns beach and it was so hot! We spent most of the time in the water.

So we went to Aoki's and got some shave ice! :) YUMMY!
There is nothing better than Hawaiian shave ice and tongues covered in heavy sugar syrup!

That night was Foodfest. The school closes down the little circle, or the front circle drive of the school, and the clubs sell food. It is really fun, the community comes out for the event and all the different cultural clubs sell food from their home countries. We had Indian food and it was delicious. It sprinkled a little on us but it was nice after an extremely hot day at the beach. That night we went to Trevor and Lauren's house with Jason and Michelle for a couple hours and just talked. It was a great evening with great people.

Life is great!

2nd Anniversary!

We celebrated our second year anniversary this weekend! It was so much fun!! Josh had planned the whole weekend and it the most thoughtful husband in the world! Friday was themed "things we like to do" so he made me crepes in the morning, we went to sunset beach, shared an acia bowl, sandwhich, and shave ice in Haleiwa. Later we went to Dukes and it was awesome!

The Diamond Head lighthouse from the top of the crater! We made it!!

Saturday we hiked Diamond Head. Something I have always wanted to do. I took it pretty slow. Needless to say, it took a long time to get there. I was that person that the elderly people would walk by and say, "If she can do it, we can do it!" :) ha ha ha.

Do you ever have days that you look around and think to yourself, "This is my life. How did I get so blessed?" That is what I was feeling all weekend. I am married to my bestest friend in the world that is perfect for me in every way, we are living in one of the most beautiful places on earth, and we are starting our little family. God is so good to us. I am forever in His debt.
